THE HEART BEHIND THE TREASURES

The Heart Behind the Treasures

My journey as a creator started long before Silverware Treasures. From friendship bracelets in elementary school to wire-wrapped bridal gifts and beaded jewelry, I have always been driven by the need to create. In 2016, I founded my first successful business, JCrystalF, which grew from custom home decor and apparel into a partnership crafting custom wooden furniture and so much more. This business still thrives to this day.

But in 2024, my world changed.

In 2024, I faced the devastating loss of my son. In the wake of that grief, I was met with a cancer diagnosis that threatened to take whatever strength I had left.

Between the weight of mourning a pregnancy and the endless cycle of medical appointments, I felt lost. I was desperate for a way to quiet the noise and find a sliver of peace. Naturally, I returned to the one place that has always felt like home: thrifting. Thrifting was a gift passed down to me by my late grandmother—my best friend—who took me to find treasures before I could even walk. In the quiet aisles of thrift stores, I began to see myself in the discarded, tarnished silverware left on the shelves. These were pieces with a rich history that had been cast aside, forgotten, and destined for a landfill.

I realized that just because something is broken or "finished" doesn't mean its beauty is gone.

I began bringing these pieces home, not just to save them, but to save myself. As I worked to polish the tarnish and carefully shape the silver into something new, I found a way to process my own pain. Each ring and necklace became a symbol of survival—a reminder that even after the hardest seasons, we can be reimagined into something breathtakingly beautiful.

Silverware Treasures is more than a business to me. It is my healing, my legacy, and a tribute to the loved ones I carry with me every day. When you wear one of these pieces, you aren't just wearing vintage and antique silver; you’re wearing a story of resilience, memory, and the belief that there is always beauty to be found in what remains.
